Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Mick McCarthy said he is delighted winger Michael Kightly is feeling so positive after surgery on his damaged ankle.
Kightly had surgery just over a week ago to correct a persistent ankle injury he picked up against West Bromwich Albion in November.
It was believed Kightly would be out for the rest of the season but the Wolves star hasn't ruled out an early return.
"I am delighted he is so optimistic about the injury and it is the most positive I have seen him for a long time," McCarthy said. "He has been a great loss for us and we will have to wait and see how quickly he returns but it is good to hear Michael is feeling so good about it."
