Kevin Phillips has pledged his future to Birmingham City after recent reports linking Australian club Perth Glory with a summer swoop for the veteran striker.

The 35-year-old penned a two-year deal with Blues at the start of the season and has enjoyed a successful first campaign at St Andrew's, grabbing 13 goals despite spending much of the season sidelined through injury.

Glory coach Dave Mitchell expressed his interest in signing Phillips this summer, resulting in Blues highlighting the matter to FIFA. But Phillips has dismissed a move Down Under - or anywhere else for that matter.

"I read the reports and I haven't got a clue where all this came from, I knew nothing about it," he said. "Going to Australia doesn't interest me at all anyway. I've had chances to go abroad before, but it's not something I've considered.

"I'm at a fantastic club and my focus is on trying to help us get promotion back to the Premier League. I signed a two-year contract and, definitely, Birmingham's where I want to be."
