Katherine O’Connor claimed her second success in the top scratch events of 2009 when she won the Bridget Jackson Bowl at Handsworth.
The Tadmarton Heath player was four-under par for the 36-hole competition, helped by a second round 68, which included five birdies. Earlier in the season she won the Frilford Heath Salver.
Katherine was followed by three players from English Women’s Golf Association squads: Elizabeth Mallett, 15, who won the English Schools U16 title in 2007; Bronte Law, 14, winner of this year’s Andalucia Junior European Open; and Abbey Gittings, 19, the Warwickshire champion.
Meanwhile, English U13 girls’ champion Charley Hull finished in a share of sixth place.
