Just who are the Tories driving at?

Dear Editor, I have just returned from the Birmingham Repertory Theatre.

Dear Editor, I have just returned from the Birmingham Repertory Theatre. From the windows there the entrance to the Conservative conference can be seen.

Outside the doors is a trade stand, complete with vehicle with the banner “Conservative Conference 2010....blah blah.........In Subaru Country”.

Birmingham has a long association with Land Rover/Range Rover and the Conservatives are allegedly encouraging British industry. Could anyone square this circle?
