Warwickshire County Council has confirmed Johnsons, of Henley-in-Arden, will operate its first park- and- ride scheme, designed to alleviate congestion around Stratford-upon-Avon.
The bus operator submitted the lowest of five tenders to run services from the site, off Bishopton Lane near to the roundabout with the A46 (T), and the A3400 Birmingham Road.
Buses will drop-off and pick-up in Wood Street and Bridge Street in Stratford town centre and signs will be provided on the approach roads from the north and west.
The first part of the car park will be open on Monday November 21 and will provide 326 spaces in time for the run-up to Christmas. The bus services will run every ten minutes from the car park from 7.30am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday and from 9am to 6.50pm on Sunday and Bank Holidays.
The full 725 spaces will be available at the end of the year. Parking will be free and fares will be £1.30 per person for a return trip with up to two children.
