A printing firm is in talks to quit its Birmingham home after more than a century – sparking job fears among its 150-strong workforce.
Midland firm Kalamazoo Secure Solutions, part of the international Adare group, is bidding to sell off its site in Northfield.
But dozens of workers who live close to the plant in Mill Lane, Northfield, are concerned over their futures, with many relying on public transport to get to work.
One worker who asked not to be named said: “It seems that we are definitely moving – there have been rumours that it could be Redditch or as far away as Droitwich.
“The problem is that there is such a high percentage of workers who live around the Northfield area.”
A company spokesman confirmed the Kalamazoo printing company – which has no connection with the nearby Kalamazoo computer group – was in talks over the future of the site.
