Warwickshire today confirmed the signing of Sanath Jayasuriya for next summer's Twenty20 competition.
Sri Lanka great Jayasuriya, who this month retired from Test cricket, is renowned as one of the world's most formidable attacking opening batsmen.
Bears director of cricket Ashley Giles is delighted to have secured the 38-year-old left-hander's services.
"Sanath has vast experience in all forms of cricket, but especially the one-day format," Giles told www.thebears.co.uk.
"He will be a great man for the younger members of our squad to learn from, and his knowledge of the game will be crucial in the Twenty20."
Jayasuriya had a similar arrangement with Lancashire last season.
