Dozens of Jaguar Land Rover workers are in line for performance-related payments of over £1,500 as part of an industry-leading pay deal, it has been revealed.
The Individual Performance Payment of £1,560 per head is being extended to other C grade employees across a range of departments, including engineers, PR, marketing, product development and others.
The extension of the payments is one of the key elements of the new pay and conditions agreement reached with unions in line with the decision to keep the Jaguar plant at Castle Bromwich open after more than a year of agonising over its future.
Meanwhile, hourly-paid manufacturing workers at Jaguar and A to C grade employees at Land Rover will get holiday bonuses of £350 spending money every June.
The performance payments and holiday bonuses are part of the pay deal which will see JLR workers get a five per cent increase from November 1 this year and three per cent from November 1 2011.
