Jaguar Land Rover is looking to take on 50 new engineers this year to work on new technology, including the development of greener hybrid engines.
It said it would be taking the new people on top of its annual graduate intake, and was looking for people “with experience in areas including electrical, infotainment, software and hybrid engine technology”.
JLR’s human resources director Des Thurlby said: “We are looking for specialist engineers to develop the next generations of world-class Jaguars and Land Rovers. This new recruitment programme is in addition to the 80 new engineering graduates and 45 engineering apprentices who will join the company in September.
“Jaguar Land Rover is one of the biggest automotive recruiters in the UK and already this academic year we have received 4,500 graduate applications.
“We are investing hundreds of millions of pounds over the next few years in research and development and this will present great opportunities for talented engineers with a passion for our brands.”
