Jaguar Land Rover has made Opel communications boss Frank Klaas its own global head of communications.
Mr Klaas, who has taken up the role with immediate effect, has taken on responsibility for the company’s communications and public relations around the world. He reports directly to Jaguar Land Rover’s chief executive, Dr Ralf Speth.
His move mirrors that of Carl-Peter Forster, who left Opel to become group chief executive of Tata Motors, the Indian owner of Jaguar Land Rover, earlier this year.
Mr Klaas was general director of Opel Communications, a part of the General Motors Europe network.
He said: “I have a professional and personal passion for cars and the automotive industry, so to be part of the future of these two iconic brands is an incredible opportunity.”
