Jaguar Land Rover has thrown its weight behind the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership by offering it office space at its headquarters.

The two staff of the LEP will be based at the Gaydon plant of Jaguar Land Rover, which is offering the space free of charge as part of its support for the initiative.

Roger Dowthwaite and Sharon Newport have moved across from CSWP to handle the day-to-day running of the partnership.

Martyn Hollingsworth, Director - Vehicle Evaluation and Verification at Jaguar, is a board member of the LEP and said the company was a confirmed backer of the initiative.

He said: “We are heavily involved in the CW LEP and believe it has made a great start with the potential to make a real difference to business and the economy.

“The staff needed some office accommodation – and we had some office space we could make available so it was a perfect fit.”

Denys Shortt, chairman of the CW LEP, added: “We have got off to a very productive start on several key fronts,” he said. “Roger and Sharon have worked very hard to ensure that this has happened and it is fitting they are now located in one of the leading companies in our area.

“The LEP is grateful to Jaguar Land Rover for its support.”
