Jaguar Land Rover is set to create 1,000 engineering jobs as it takes another step towards becoming a billion pound company.
The company has already posted half year profits of £493million and with business booming around the globe it is set to post another strong set of quarterly results on Friday.
Speaking at the launch of a new low carbon vehicle lab at Warwick manufacturing Group at Warwick University, JLR CEO Ralf Speth said the company was looking to grow production in the coming years from 232,000 vehicles to more than 300,000 - and that meant growing the workforce. “We are currently looking for the right guys at the moment,” he said.
