Birmingham’s forthcoming Breakfast Connection event will be the first opportunity the city’s business community has to quiz one of the main men behind the recent Jaguar Land Rover takeover.

Geoff Cousins, Jaguar UK managing director, will be the guest speaker at the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCI)/Birmingham Forward event on Wednesday, June 18 at the Botanical Gardens.

Indian conglomerate Tata completed the purchase of the iconic carmakers earlier this week and there is a lot of interest about the future of the marques, and the impact it will have on West Midlands manufacturing.

BCI chief executive Jerry Blackett said: “The Tata deal has been welcomed by the West Midlands business community but there are still plenty of questions people would like to ask.

From the announcements made by Tata so far, it looks like there could be exciting times ahead for Jaguar Land Rover and we, as a Chamber, and other businesses and organisations around the city will be keen to work with them to ensure the success of these two historic firms continues.”
