Dear Editor, Last summer I wrote expressing my dismay at the ticketing policy for the Ashes Test at Edgbaston.
My cricket club, Temple Grafton CC, purchases tickets to Test matches every summer at Edgbaston but last year we were denied the opportunity as Warwickshire CCC had decided to sell our allocation as corporate ‘hamper packages’ that we could not afford. This year, we’ve been called by Edgbaston offering our usual allocation of tickets at face value for the Pakistan Test match in August. It appears that we loyal Test match attendees only count when they can’t make a fast buck out of the part time supporters when the Australians are in town.
