Solihull & Shirley ladies have escaped relegation and an end-of-season challenge after they beat Four Oaks 4-2 in the top match of the week.

Carol Hunt and Carol Moran remained in top form with an undefeated performance to ensure division one status next season. The bottom two placings are to be filled by Broadway and Oaks, who have one match remaining.

There were two narrow 5-4 victories in mens division two this week for Aston Villa and Four Oaks. Villa beat the champions, Broadway II, with Jamal Uddin and Abdul Waheed and Jason Pheung with Pat Patel winning two games each. Phil Hitchmough and Mark Brown won all three for the losers.

The Four Oaks combination of Andrew Plant and Jeremy Cooper took the honours in their 5-4 win over KRS II. Paul Cope and Matt Jeans won a further two games to secure the runners-up position and will contest the playoff against Bidgely Power for division one status next season.

Hac Nawaz and Hubert Mills won two games for the losers.

In mixed division two, Solihull and Shirley II avoided a relegation match after they defeated Arden 5-4 in a lastgame decider.

Andy Pattie and Katie Johnson remained the unbeaten pairing for the Solihull-based side and Nigel Field with Angela Attwood won the two further games to secure the points. Arden's Darren Chan and Alison McLaughlin won two games for the losers.

The Four Oaks ladies II combination of Tracy Trewick and Beth Willis provided the Streetly-based side with an unbeaten performance with a 5-1 win over Cocks Moors in division two.
