Beer lovers have been introduced to a new brew - although thirsty customers will presumably have to wait for ages for one before the barman serves them three at once.

Bus company Travel West Midlands is taking its annual support for the Wolverhampton Beer Festival to a new level, with its own beer.

The Campaign for Real Ale event, which runs until tomorrow, will witness the debut of Trav Ale.

Sarah Hughes Brewery in Sedgley has produced the ale especially for the 30th annual festival.

Trav Ale is 4.5 per cent and is a ?well balanced golden ale, with a nice sharp bitter taste, brewed with Maris Otter, Brewers Gold and Fuggles hops?.

Along with the ale, TWM has also produced posters promoting the event in the city as well as 5,000 beer mats which will be distributed before and during the festival encouraging people not to drink and drive and to catch the bus instead.

Phil Bateman, corporate affairs director of TWM, will also be opening the event as the new Mayor of Wolverhampton.

He said: ?We?re pleased to be part of the Black Country?s major festival; every year it becomes more popular.

?We hope that visitors will use the bus network to visit the beer festival and partake in our own tipple, Trav Ale, without drinking and driving.?
