Hollywood-style glamour isn't the norm in Birmingham but it can be yours for as little as £56.

Adrian Goldberg's latest project, Manchester Disunited And Other Football Feuds, is set to premier at the MAC on Friday August 18.

The former Watchdog, Politics Show and BBC Breakfast news presenter is one of Birmingham's household names after a long career broadcasting.

And in typically 21st century style, he is throwing open the doors of ebay to afford the highest bidder a unique domestic premiere.

Twenty-four hours prior to the official launch, Goldberg will guarantee the winner a leftfield take on your usual premiere.

"I will bring the red carpet to your door, a bottle of champagne, supply the photographer and even bring round the popcorn," said Goldberg.

"There is also the chance to rub shoulders with the 'star' of the movie - me," he added, laughing.

"It came to me in a flash on inspiration whilst lying in the bath.

"I was contemplating how we could make it a glitzy affair like you would see at the Odeon in Leicester Square.

"How we were going to persuade Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to attend was proving to be a problem. " So I thought I would do it differently and give Jo Public the opportunity to watch a bona fide premiere."

Bidding for the prize draws to an end on Sunday so bartering is only available for five more days.

With the highest bid currently standing at £56 it isn't going to cost the Earth for the privilege of watching Goldberg's third offering for the big screen.

There is, however, an ulterior motive for the auction.

"It would be nice if I could claw back some of the production costs as this cost over £6,000 to make," he added, with his tongue firmly in his cheek. " What will probably happen is that someone from the Shetland Islands will make the highest bid and I will be left hundreds of pounds out of pocket".
