Aston Villa manager David O'Leary does not expect any action against midfielder Lee Hendrie after he was reported to be involved in an alleged butting incident, writes John Curtis.

O'Leary has vowed to investigate newspaper claims that Hendrie had been in a confrontation with some Birmingham fans in a Solihull bar.

O'Leary said: "I think if people go into a bar they're entitled to. What you have to do is walk away from incidents and not get involved. That's the life you lead.

"The alternative is you don't go out completely and you live like a hermit.

"I'll have a word with Lee on Monday to find out the full story but there will definitely not be any club action."
