Dear Editor, Some of your readers may enjoy visiting the beautiful, unspoilt Forest of Dean for walking/cycling/camping.

Currently we all ‘‘own’’ the forest and it is managed very ably by the Forestry Commission – this mean we can all access it as and when we please.

However the Government is now planning to sell this lovely national asset.

To find out more about this possible outrage and see how you can help it to be exempt form any sell-off, please have a look at the Hands Off Our Forest of Dean website www.handsoffourforest.org. Also, if you feel as strongly as I do that this shouldn’t be happening, why not have a day out at our big rally taking place on Speech House filed on Monday, January 3, at 1pm?
