Kidderminster Harriers' Aggborough stadium resembled a revolving door after a frantic deadline day which brought the exits of Mark Jackson and Iyseden Christie and the arrival of three new faces.

Skipper Jackson and top scorer Christie have both moved back into the League with Rochdale in a £35,000 combined deal after weeks of speculation over their futures.

Harriers manager Mark Yates said he could not stand in the way of the pair's wishes to return to League Two, while the deal for two players out of contract in the summer represents good business.

Yates has moved to strengthen his squad by sign-ing Jake Sedgemore from Bury, striker Andy White on loan from Notts County and teenage defender Junior Osborne from Watford for the rest of the season. All three will be ready for their debuts in Saturday's Conference game at Halifax Town.

Sedgemore has joined on an 18-month contract, having turned down the chance to stay for the rest of the season at Burton Albion. The onetime Shrewsbury player had been on loan with the Brew-ers and had played in their FA Cup ties with Manchester United.

Frontman White, who stands 6ft 4ins tall, had spent two months at Aggborough on loan in 2003 from Mansfield Town and quickly became a favourite.

Harriers have also released youngsters Chris McHale and Jermain Hollis. McHale has linked up with Bromsgrove Rovers. n Sam Wedgbury will make the step from Worcester City's football development scheme to Premiership hopefuls Sheffield United.

The 16-year-old has joined the Blades on a scholarship for a undisclosed five figure fee.

As part of the deal, Wedgbury will be loaned back to City for the remainder of the season on "work experience" and United have also agreed to send a full first team to St George's Lane for a pre-season friendly.

Wedgbury joined City's college scheme, run in partner-ship with Worcester College of Technology, in the summer and earned his place in the record books when he became their youngest ever scorer when he netted on his first team debut in the FA Cup against Bemerton Heath Harlequins. He has already made 18 first team appearances this season.
