A teenager who helped her "evil" mother murder a Birmingham pastor has been shown mercy by a Crown Court judge.

Sandra Fraser was sentenced to life imprisonment in September after being convicted of the killing of Edson Ennis.

Birmingham Crown Court heard Fraser had cultivated the friendship of the 78-year-old pastor of a Pentecostal Church in order to steal property and money from him.

In September last year they had an argument about paying rent for property Mr Ennis had bought for her in Elmcroft Avenue, Bartley Green, and Fraser stabbed the pastor 13 times. His body, which had been burned, was later found dumped in a car park in Smethwick.

Fraser's 16- year- old daughter, who cannot be named, was acquitted of murder but admitted perverting the course of justice.

Sentencing her to a community rehabilitation order for three years, Judge John Saunders QC said he had taken into account the fact she had given evidence against her mother in court and would have gone through "emotional trauma".
