On-loan midfielder Simon Gillett is planning to build on his League One debut with Walsall at the weekend.
Gillett joined the Saddlers on a month's loan from Southampton on the eve of the side's 3-2 defeat at Port Vale.
The 18-year-old said: "I was pleased to get my League debut out of the way and, although we didn't get the right result, it was good to be involved in a game with something on the outcome.
"It was a totally different experience to youth and reserve football where you're playing in front of one man and his dog and the result isn't all-important.
"I'm here for a month and I just want to build on Saturday's experience. Hopefully, I can help the team win matches and push up the table."
