West Brom midfielder Zoltan Gera has expressed his wish to play Premier League football but insists no decision has been made over his future.

The Hungarian international, who had a transfer request rejected last summer after the club were relegated from the top flight, is entering the final year of his current Baggies contract.

Now Albion’s failure to gain promotion at the first attempt after losing the Coca-Cola Championship play-off final to Derby has inevitably led to speculation over the future of Gera, Diomansy Kamara, Jason Koumas, Curtis Davies and Paul Robinson.

Gera claimed: "I am not a major star and I don’t know what the club are planning for me.

"I don’t want to think about my future just yet. I want to enjoy my break following the season and internationals.

"It’s no secret that I want to play in the Premier League but we did not get there which is a regret of mine. Perhaps I will get a chance to play in the Premiership again some time, I don’t know.

"I hope I will get the opportunity to go back there but right now no decision has been made over what will happen over my future and it’s not really my choice at the moment."

Middlesbrough, Portsmouth and Wigan have expressed interest in the past in Gera, who last season only showed his best form in patches.

Albion have already rejected a joint bid of #5million from Birmingham for Kamara and Koumas plus a #4million offer for only Koumas from Wigan.

Chairman Jeremy Peace has warned players will only be allowed to leave if the price is right.
