The funeral of a disabled man whose body was found in a suitcase at his mother's home in Redditch is to take place today.
The humanist ceremony in memory of James Hughes, whose remains were found in April, will be held at the town's crematorium, West Mercia Constabulary said.
Mr Hughes, 22, was reported missing in April along with his mother Heather Wardle, who was found at the base of a tree with a ligature around her neck in woodland off Winyates Way, Redditch.
Officers discovered the remains of Mr Hughes in the garden of the family home in Loxley Close two days later.
In a short statement released earlier this week, Det Insp Jon Marsden said police had not yet established the cause of Mr Hughes' death. A file has been submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service for consideration.
