Four people have been arrested under the Terrorism Act 2000 at Manchester Airport.
Two men - aged 48 and 23 - and two women - aged 48 and 27 - were detained shortly after midnight on Monday at the Airport.
They were being held under section 15 of the act on suspicion of providing money or other property suspected of being used for the purpose of terrorism.
All four were taken to a police station in the Greater Manchester area for questioning.
Officers also carried out a search at an address in Dudley on Monday afternoon.
