She was rejected by Sir Alan Sugar, but Apprentice runner-up Kate Walsh has been named as host of a new news magazine show on Channel 5.
The 27-year-old from Cannock will be joined by former Arsenal and England footballer Ian Wright and former Page Three girl Melinda Messenger to present Live From Studio Five, a nightly hour-long programme discussing news, sport and entertainment.
Five said the hosts had been chosen for their opinions and said viewers could expect to be “entertained, informed, surprised and occasionally shocked”.
The show will go on air in September, probably at 6.30pm and will feature a mix of location reports, celebrity interviews, gossip and conversation around events in the news agenda of the day.
