Five people have been taken to hospital, one by air, after a four-vehicle crash in Worcestershire
The crash, involving two cars, a van and a 4x4 vehicle, happened on Tuesday at around 4.15pm, on the A4133 at Ombersley, about 100yrds from Ombersley First School.
A 38-year-old man trapped in the van was cut free and airlifted to Worcestershire Royal Hospital with spinal injuries.
The 33-year-old male driver of one of the cars had been knocked unconscious in the crash and was suffering from concussion when emergency services arrived. He was cut free and taken by land to the same hospital.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman added: “There were three people in the 4x4. The male driver was unhurt, a woman in the front passenger seat complained of severe neck and shoulder pain. Her daughter, thought to be aged in her 20s, was suffering pelvic pain. Both women were taken to Alexandra Hospital in Redditch."
The female driver of the other car was not seriously injured, but taken to the Alexandra Hospital as a precaution for further observation.
