Five males aged in their early 20s have been arrested after an incident in Solihull which left a man with head injuries.

West Midlands Police said the 29-year-old victim had been detained in hospital in a serious but stable condition after officers were called to Station Road in the early hours of Sunday.

A police spokesman said four of those arrested had been bailed pending further enquiries, while one man remains in custody.
