Speaking at a news conference in Rugby, the 61-year-old murder victim's eldest son, William, told reporters that the family's grief was "beyond words".

The 40-year-old said of his father: "Farming to him was a dream come true. He loved it, it was his life.

"Every day was as exciting as the last for him. Now someone has intruded into his life and our lives and robbed us of the man we loved dearly."
