The family of a Worcestershire murder victim has thanked members of the public for the flowers and messages of support placed at the spot where his body was found.

Adrian Palmer was discovered by postal workers in an alleyway off Teme Street in Tenbury Wells last month.

A 19-year-old man has been charged with his murder on May 20 and is due to appear at Worcester Crown Court for a plea and directions hearing next month.

Adrian's grandmother, Margaret Palmer said for reasons linked to the police investigation the family was unable to hold a funeral for him.

She said: "It is very important to us that we are able to continue to place flowers where Adrian was found. There is nowhere else that is meaningful at present.

"We also very much appreciate the flowers and messages left by members of the public and ask that they are left in place so that we can, periodically, collect them. We would like to keep all the messages in Adrian's memory."

She said Mr Palmer, 21, would be buried at St Mary's Church in the town but that no date had yet been set.
