Faith leaders in Birmingham will gather tomorrow to pray for peace in the Middle East.
Leaders of the six faiths on Birmingham Faith Leaders' Group will gather at St Thomas' Peace Garden to pray for a peaceful solution to the hostilities in Lebanon, Israel and Palestine.
The worship by Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Sikh and Buddhist leaders will be followed by silent reflection.
The prayers will be for those who are suffering, those who have died or have been bereaved. The leaders are also calling for humanity, courage and vision from those who exercise political and military leadership on all sides.
The Faith Leaders' Group was set up after September 11 to build up relationships and respond to current events.
Anyone is welcome to attend the prayer, which will be held at the Peace Garden on the corner of Holloway Head and Granville Street at 8.30pm.
