Chris Burke has vowed that Blues will enjoy the pressure-free occasion of Saturday’s FA Cup tie at Chelsea.
Blues go to Stamford Bridge in the fifth round intent on causing an upset.
But the winger insisted that, whatever the outcome, Blues will relish the task.
“It’s a great, great tie away in the FA Cup against a top Premier League side,” he said.
“We’ll go there looking to get a victory as we always do and looking to play well and test ourselves against one of the best teams in Britain.
“The pressure is off and the onus is on Chelsea. They’re at home and in a bigger league and a top four side in the Premier League.
“They’re not playing as well as they want to be doing but they’re still a quality team and they’re in the Champions League.
“It will be a very tough test for us – but a test we’re relishing.”
Blues have reached the quarter-finals of the FA Cup in both of their last two seasons.
And they will be backed by 3,000 fans in west London, having sold out their ticket allocation.
Burke admitted that Blues were not at their best in Tuesday’s goalless draw against Hull City.
“We didn’t concede and the defence were rock solid and if anybody had the better chances it was us. It wasn’t one of our best games, and it wasn’t good for the spectators, but we didn’t get beaten.
“We cancelled each other out. They’re a good side and one of the best in the league and one of the best we’ve played this year.
“They came and set their stall out and played well. It was a difficult game but the most important thing was we didn’t get beaten and we look forward.”
Blues are now up to 13 games without loss in all competitions.
They have kept nine clean sheets in their last dozen outings, but the goals have dried up, with one coming from three successive St Andrew’s matches.
Burke said in the Championship, it was important that any good run was maintained for as long as possible.
“I think in this division if you’re not playing well and things are not happening for you and the game is not going the way you want it go, you have to make sure you don’t get beaten.
“If you have that way about you and that mentality, they’re the sort of games that can get you out of this division.”
