Take That will perform an extra gig at Villa Park in Birmingham after unprecedented demand for tickets.

The band hope to perform back-to-back sell out gigs at the football stadium after thousands of fans failed to get their hands on tickets for the Progress Live 2011 tour.

In addition to the June 27 date, the reunited boy band will also play in Birmingham on June 28.

Gary Barlow, Robbie Williams, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald have reunited for the tour next summer. The last time the five-piece performed together was in 1995.

Extra dates were also announced in Glasgow, at Hampden Park, on Friday June 24 and in Sunderland's Stadium of Light on Tuesday May 31.
