Dear Editor, your leader on the Equality Bill is not well reasoned.
To suggest that the legislation might end up ‘destroying workplaces’ is a ridiculous exaggeration. What exactly is proposed?
Firstly, from 2013 the production of stratified information on pay across grades. Any efficient employer should already possess this information. Secondly, allowing employees to discuss their pay with each other. These are simply proposals and are certainly not ‘red tape’ or a ‘bureaucratic nightmare’.
I realise that the Post is trying to position itself as the paper of business but why did you fail to quote trade unions on this issue?
