An organisation that has transformed life for thousands of vulnerable people in Birmingham will open its doors to celebrate National Social Enterprise Day.

Enta CIC will host a special networking breakfast in its popular Top Lock Café at Mill Wharf, Mill Street to mark the occasion on Thursday 18 November.

The organisation began as a training agency but has grown to meet the needs of the community it serves.

It now operates a range of social enterprises including state-of-the-art conference facilities, quality catering, a training café and the recently launched Little Mill Nursery.

Business people are invited to join other social enterprise ambassadors between 7.30 am and 9 am, and take advantage of the free networking opportunity in Enta’s canalside café, with breakfast rolls, tea and coffee provided.

Enta chief executive Kevin Hayes said: “As one of Birmingham’s leading social enterprises we are delighted to host this exciting networking event.

“Social Enterprise Day is the perfect time to invite people in and allow them to see and hear first-hand the positive impact of our work, and the role of other enterprises across the city, which is both motivating and inspiring.”

There are more than 62,000 social enterprises in the UK that set themselves apart from ordinary businesses with their social and environmental aims.

The Breakfast Networking event at Enta aims to raise awareness of the impact of social enterprises and is a great opportunity to meet new people and explore future collaborations.
