The official newspaper of Birmingham Community Healthcare has received a gold award from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

The bimonthly publication, ARCHway, was voted best internal publication in the CIPR Midlands Pride Awards after impressing the judges with its coverage of more than 100 services delivered from around 350 sites across Birmingham and the West Midlands.

BCHC also won a silver award in the 'healthcare' category for a video featuring many of the Trust's own staff promoting its services.

BCHC director of compliance and assurance Joanne Thurston said: “These awards, from the industry’s professional body, are a great recognition of the ways in which we are spreading the word about BCHC and the work of our staff.

Chair of the CIPR Midlands group Nigel Pipkin said: “The focus of the PRide Awards is on the many examples of superb PR that have been created here in the Midlands and delivered regionally and nationally by outstanding consultancies, vibrant smaller agencies, brilliant in-house practitioners and highly creative individuals.”
