Dudley Kingswinford continue to cling to the coat-tails of Midlands One leaders Rugby Lions and Bedford Athletic after a convincing 28-11 win over Luton.

The Heathbrook side, led by the superb Richard Port at openside, led 7-3 at the break after a try from hooker Chris Condliffe but powered away in the second half.

Further scores from Ian Langford, Ian Gowland and Tui Asi Pito lifted DK to third in the division, four points behind the joint table-toppers with a game in hand.

Rugby may remain at the summit but they had to survive the odd scare and three yellow cards before struggling Kettering were vanquished on their own pitch.

Five points from full back Glen Bond and a try by Matt Goode put them 10-0 up but the hosts refused to lie down, hauling themselves back to 15-9. James Wadey and Timothy Douglas secured the win.

At the bottom, Bromsgrove are still looking for their first league win, having being beaten 48-19 at home by Market Bosworth. Two tries for Ben Copson and one from Richard Stockholm were mere consolation.

Walsall also continue to struggle after being crushed 48-12 at Bedford Athletic. Dave Merlin and Danny Thompson scored their points. Elsewhere in Midlands One, Scunthorpe won at Dunstablians and Burton lost 36-10 at Luctonians.

In Midlands Two West, leaders Broadstreet got back to winning ways following last week's defeat by Newport with a 34-5 triumph over Shirley-based Camp Hill. ..SUPL:
