Deloitte held its latest International HR Forum at its office in Brindleyplace. The event marked the 10th anniversary of the Forum established in 2004 by Joanne Haslehurst, a tax partner within the International Assignment Services (IAS) group.

Representatives from multinational firms attended the event, all of whom are involved in the handling of Global Mobility issues within their respective businesses. The forum covered insight into the specific challenges of working in Africa, with “A Spotlight on Africa” led by Nana Efua-Otoo of NetExpat.

Former head of HMRC’s Expat Unit and current Director of Deloitte Martin Dwyer then led an engaging session preparing companies for HMRC expatriate reviews.

The event was followed by a celebratory buffet at the nearby Rep Bar at Birmingham Repertory Theatre.

The event runs quarterly and anyone interested in attending should contact Julie Dickson at jdickson@deloitte.co.uk.
