Money taken from convicted criminals has been used to launch a police-based football scheme in Birmingham.
Aston Villa youth coaches and club hero Ian Taylor will train teenagers in ball skills and fitness in Highgate starting today.
The teenagers will be put through a rigorous training session then take part in a five-a-side tournament.
PCSOs in the Highgate area secured the cash under the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) to plough money seized from criminals and plough it back into the community.
PCSO Anita Hodson, said: "This sporting initiative has been set up and funded using money seized from criminals.
"By pumping POCA money back into the local community, we hope to give youngsters a means of coming together in a safe and supervised environment.
"We are delighted to be working alongside Aston Villa to offer such a positive scheme in Highgate."
