New figures show that it is more expensive to live in Birmingham than in London. Accident and health insurer Combined Insurance says Cardiff and Edinburgh now top the list, followed by Leeds, Southampton, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow and Manchester. The figures cover the percentage of monthy pay used for essential everyday costs.
