A community was united in grief as thousands of people paid their last respects to three tragic drowning victims.

The funeral service of 15-year-old Harvinder Singh, Satvir Singh, aged 17, and Tajinder Singh, 21,took place in Wolverhampton.

A funeral cortege of three hearses made a solemn procession as it took their coffins to the Guru Nanak Gurdwara, in Sedgley Street, Blakenhall, for a joint funeral service.

Thousands of people turned up for the service including worshippers and family from all over Britain. Some had travelled from India.

Friends and teachers from Highfields Science Specialist School and Colton Hills Community School also attended.

The lids from the three wooden caskets were removed and the mourners spent more than an hour filing past the bodies.
