A 22-year-old man who died after being found with head injuries outside a nightclub has been named as Simon James Williams.

Mr Williams, from Lanesfield, Wolverhampton, was married with one daughter, West Midlands Police said.

Mr Williams was discovered injured outside JB's nightclub in Castle Hill, Dudley, in the early hours of Saturday.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to Dudley's Russells Hall Hospital and was later transferred to The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where he died on Sunday.

More than 200 people were attending an Elvis tribute night at the time of the incident and police are keen to speak to potential witnesses who left the club between 2.30am and 3am.
