Leon Clarke gave Wolverhampton Wanderers a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest in a Premiership Reserve League North match of few chances.

The young striker beat three defenders on a 30-yard run before beating keeper Barry Roche from close range.

Patrick Flynn and Mark Davies had earlier tested Roche, the busier keeper, although Carl Ikeme, in the visitors' goal, saved well from Craig Westcarr.

Just after half time James Perch nearly equalised with a drive which was inches too high.
