Dear Editor, I have just attended this year’s Armistice Day service at the Hall of Memory in Birmingham.
It was impossible to hear the speakers, because of the din of traffic.
Might it be possible for the traffic to be stopped for 15 minutes or so, in this area?
Also, the police should stop those disrespectful and inconsiderate pedestrians, who insist on walking through the crowds. They should be diverted elsewhere.
It was reassuring to see that the shrub still grows through the roof of the Hall of Memory.
Perhaps our “world-class” council could save money on the Christmas decorations by attaching some lights to the branches?
