A 19-year-old Birmingham man is to face trial next year accused of murdering Bradford policewoman Sharon Beshenivsky, a court heard today.
Yusuf Abdillh Jamma appeared before a judge at Bradford Crown Court via a video link for a 10-minute hearing.
He is accused of murdering mother-of-three Pc Beshenivsky, 38, who was shot as she investigated a robbery at a travel agent's in Bradford city centre on November 15.
Her colleague Pc Teresa Milburn, 37, was seriously injured in the same incident.
Jamma, of Whitmore Road, Small Heath, Birmingham, who is also charged with robbery and firearms offences, spoke only to confirm his name and to indicate that he understood the proceedings during the short hearing.
