The Birmingham Irish Pipes and Drums band will be flying the flag for the city in New York's St Patrick's Day parade this year.
Thanks to funding from a Wolverhampton-based travel agent, the band will get the chance to perform at the largest parade in the world.
Sponsorship from Harvey World Travel will enable the band and their supporters to jet off to the Big Apple on March 16 for the world-famous event.
Andy Tomlinson, head of commercial at HWT, said: "My mother was a member of the original BIPD band and I was keen to get involved in this trip.
"We are delighted to be the official sponsor of such a great band."
Bill Grigg, pipe major of the band, told how daunting and expensive the prospect of organising the trip had seemed.
He said: "We are all very grateful to Harvey World Travel for enabling us to represent the region.
"It is my great privilege to be leading the band around my hometown at the Birmingham St Patrick's Day parade on March 13 and then going on to perform on 5th Avenue in the same week."
