Charlotte Church has pulled out of open air Birmingham concert Party in the Park, citing "family commitments".

Party in the Park, which takes place at Cannon Hill Park in Edgbaston, was postponed for a day this year after organisers BRMB decided to make way for the world-wide Live 8 concerts.

The line-up features Ozzie Osborne's daughter Kelly, Natasha and Daniel Beddingfield, Craig David and Lee Ryan.

But Charlotte who was due to perform her new pop single, Crazy Chick, withdrew from the event yesterday, saying "family commitments" had got in the way.

Charlotte hit the tabloid headlines this weekend over camera-phone pictures allegedly showing her kissing an ex-boyfriend, while her current partner, rugby star Gavin Henson, tours with the British Lions.

But she appeared on ITV daytime show, This Morning, yesterday saying there was nothing for Gavin to worry about. Meanwhile boyband McFly have also been forced to pull out of the Birmingham concert.

They were called up at the 11th hour by Sir Bob Geldoff to be part of the Live 8 charity extravaganza in Japan.

Party in the Park takes place on Sunday July 3 at Cannon Hill Park, Edgbaston.

Tickets are £ 11 in advance or £15 on the gate.
