The RSPCA has appealed for witnesses after a cat was thrown from the fifth floor of a block of flats in Birmingham - and lived.

Evidence given to the organisation by West Midlands Police indicated that a ginger and white short-haired domestic cat was thrown around several times before being thrown from the balcony of the flat at Moor House, in Druids Lane, Birmingham.

The RSPCA has been unable to track down the cat and is appealing for witnesses of the attack, which left the animal with a broken leg.
