Cash stolen in raid on Smethwick social club

Two workers have been left injured after being attacked during a robbery at a Birmingham social club.

The staff members, one male aged 20 and a female aged 25, were attacked by two men who burst into the Thimblemill Social Club premises in Smethwick and demanded cash.

The victims sustained minor cuts and bruises while the two men escaped with a quantity of money across the field towards Norman Road.

Police at Smethwick CID are appealing for information on 0845 113 5000.
