A gang involved in an elaborate car-theft ring has been jailed for 11 years.
The 11 offenders admitted stealing luxury vehicles during their crime spree throughout Staffordshire and across the country, Birmingham Crown Court heard.
Four men admitted conspiracy to obtain property by deception.
Jason Sherratt (30), from Cheadle, and Scott John Hackney (24), from Stoke-onTrent, were jailed for three years. Philip John Roberts (36), from Stoke-on-Trent, and Carl Damian Lloyd (25), from Newcastle-under-Lyme, were both jailed for 21/2 years.
Five admitted handling stolen motor vehicles. Mahmood Khan (33), from Cheshire, Anthony Seddon (40), from Salford, and David Horrocks (38), from Cheshire, were all fined £10,000. Bashratt Khan (27), from Bolton, was fined £3,000 Derek Midgley (40), from Manchester, was given a 240-hour community punishment order and a three-month tag curfew.
Craig Timothy Bould (32), from Stoke-on-Trent, was given a 240-hour community punishment order and a three-month tag curfew for assisting in the retention of a stolen motor vehicle as was Ryan David Miller (22), from Stoke-on-Trent.
